Romans and Psalms

"1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
6You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation."
{Romans 5:1-11}
1 Have mercy on me, O God,
   according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
   blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash away all my iniquity
   and cleanse me from my sin.

 3 For I know my transgressions,
   and my sin is always before me...

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
   and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me from your presence
   or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
   and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me...

14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
   you who are God my Savior,

and my tongue will sing of your righteousness. 15 Open my lips, Lord,
   and my mouth will declare your praise.
16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;
   you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
17 My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;
   a broken and contrite heart
   you, God, will not despise."

{Psalm 51}

I know that I messed up...

"... betrays a confidence..." {Proverbs 11:13}
"... separates close friends." {Proverbs 16:28}
but I pray, Lord, that you will forgive me. Father, I know that I don't deserve it, and yet I seek your grace. You give it freely, and I ask that I may receive it, dearest Lord. Help my heart and mind to find peace in You, God. And I ask that you touch the hearts of my friends, Lord. I never wanted to give them a reason to think I couldn't be trusted, but I fear the damage has been inflicted. Father, please bring healing, peace, and guidance. You are glorious beyond compare, and I love you more than words can express.
